Hi everyone!

Many of you have been playing Baldur’s Gate 3 since the start of Early Access, all the way back in 2020. You may have accumulated a backlog of old save games, or even a few mods along the way. Even if you’re a first-time player, there’s information here that will be useful to you.

To make sure you’re prepared for the journey ahead, please refer to our dedicated support article & take the mentioned steps before venturing forth: Baldur's Gate 3 - Early access saves compatibility.
What would be helpful is knowing exactly when we can start downloading the game since there's no clear indicator and the release time in Galaxy / manual download may be different than what was announced (theoretically 15:00 UTC). I don't want to download the EA once again. ;)

All I saw is that the Early Access shows "69 GB download, 79 GB installed" when clicking on 'Install' in Galaxy. So that would be an indication that the release is not there yet, since it should be bigger than that.

For the manual download, it's easier since the file names end with "EA" for the Early Access version. :)

Maybe also check "view update notes"?

No, those notes are rarely up-to-date. But you never know, it could work.
Launch times should be this:

- 8 am PDT (Los Angeles)
- 11 am EDT (New York/Quebec)
- 12 pm BRT (Rio de Janeiro)
- 4 pm GMT (London)
- 5 pm CEST (Berlin)
- 1 am, August 4 AEST (Sydney)
- 3 am, August 4 NZST (Auckland)

Well - I hope this will not be Galaxy only, but also the off-line installers.

I like to download those installer files and make a backup before installing.

Any news on that?

What if we uninstalled the Early Access before having a chance to 'Delete Campaign' through the game?
I've uninstalled the EA a couple of days ago, then I removed the local saved files. Does this mean the cloud saves can potentially create issues? Is there a solution for this? I'm sure I can't be the only one who did not get a chance to delete the EA campaign before uninstalling.

Thank you.

You can see the location of the files in the last update from Larian: %LocalAppData%\Larian Studios (just copy / paste that in the explorer if you're unfamiliar with those Windows locations).

I was referring to this note from the support article:
"Note: simply deleting the game’s save folder may create conflicts when either Steam Cloud or Larian Cloud re-downloads the save files."

I've deleted the files manually, not through the 'Delete Campaign' in-game option (since I uninstalled the Early Access already). So while I deleted my local files, I was wondering if the Larian cloud save files still exist and if they will be re-downloaded when the final release gets installed. And if that will create any conflicts.

Will the entry for BG3 in GoG change to indicate we are getting the digital deluxe version?
