GunthySalvus: BTW BG3 is a bit overrated. The dice roll is rigged in many situations, has many many many late game bugs, there's a bit of new age political agenda forced down our throats, the romance options are poorly placed and implemented, the combat has no option for speeding up, it is not an open world game.
So as a fan o BG, and having finnished BG3, i would say if your done with BG3 or just disappointed with the overall direction of the new take, try the NWN2 remake mod of the first game, because it has similar gameplay.
For the Salty people who just came here to answer to something i didn't said, or to blindly defend a game when i didn't even attacked it, just get a life.
Wait, what ?
So you DID play BG3 ?
Then pray tell me do you know any other game where, except through savescumming, you cant have the same game twice, ever, to this degree ? Because I'm drawing a blank about that.
Not to mention every class and every race gets their own dialogues and solutions. Again nothing I've seen elsewhere, ever. You will literally HAVE to play all classes and races to see everything. Pretty hard sell because there are some classes and races I personally never play.
Where do I get true roundbased gameplay ? I only know The Temple of Elemental Evil. Extremely awesome combat, but otherwise a bust. In fact you claim thats a disadvantage. Well, have fun playing something else then.
And the BG3 levels are packed to the roof with content. Much more so than BG1 and BG2 ever had.
BG3 is the ultimate computer roleplaying experience. Only way to improve further is going pen & paper, also called tabletop.
And you played BG1+2, too ?
Yet somehow you missed that neither is true open world, either ? Both games had some parts which are open, just like you can go back and forth in levels in BG3 by the way, but often send you into places where you had to follow a straight line, just like BG3 does.
None of these games is truely open world the way you demand it.
We already have a long thread about the woke elements in the game. Suffice to say I've seen only the romances which are all bisexual, and thats a bit annoying. Nudity, sex scenes, I've just disabled all that stuff in the configuration. Anything that happends in that regard happends in my mind as part of the story of my main character, thank you very much. I dont need to actually see it, just like most movies dont actually show it. Its implied and thats fine.
Larian Studios should probably introduce options to disable romances altogether or in part.
Nothing else seems woke in the game. I've not gotten very far yet, I keep playing around too much.
