1. How many Partymember can bother me? Sorry, bad mood;)
2. Is the AI for the partymember like NWN 1 (I won't let you tell me anything, but I'll be there when you need me.) or NWN 2 (the proof that BSE is not only for cows).
3. How often does the game force me to change my companions?
4. My CPU is an old Sandybridge (i5-2500k @4.3 Ghz over Turboboost). I hope, that is not the problem.

ps.: sorry for my bad english.

1. max party size is 4 & min size is 1
2. the Ai has two options {follow is the default and stand here is also something you can tell them} which only happens outside of combat i.e, during combat = you tell each what to do
3. a few times as part of a scripted scene but you may not even trigger those
4. you are kidding yourself mate
Thanx for the answers:)

@ ussnorway
The problem with my Sandy is, the old girl is really old. A lot has happened in ten years. Certainly with instruction sets and other special features. I actually wanted to get a new computer five years ago. But somehow something always came up.

I think i wait one month more and then i looking after my flamesword.

I've found DX11 to be much more forgiving, from a processing standpoint, than Vulkan. Vulkan made my FX 8350 go into thermal shutdown, even though I have it paired with 32GB of RAM and an RX Vega 64. DX11 doesn't make the CPU or GPU get hot. You're still going to have CPU-based bottleneck issues, but DX11 might at least let you play for a bit first.
Have buy it.
The first problem makes the installer. The offline-installer needs obvious more then 18 gb free space on the system-partition only for "temp-files", completely independent from the target-partition for the game itself. In my case the game found his place on partition d. Needs near 90 gb on disk-space.
I was forced to install the gog-galaxy-client. 65 gb for the offline-installer download for nothing...
The Offline-'Installer for Pray made not such problems, by the way. Wrote GOG.com a support-mail with the request to correct this problem.

The second problem is ram. Needs to reduce my ram-usage for the rest-system under 1 gb. Thx goodness i use Win 7.
But level-loads needs minutes and the performance... och. Important is to configure the swap so, that the OS has the full control over it. Without it, the game crashed after the cutscene you leave with the Illithid-Ship the Avernus-Hell.
Fascination, the Ingame-Cutscenes need enormous amount on ram.
Dragon Age : Origin make not so much problems. But BG3 is really pre-access. Hope they solve the problems fast:)

What i not like is the spell-system. i like the original d&d-spell-system more. I dont know the english terms for it. One... pool for spells using for all spells for a day.
the real issue is W7 and fyi DAO is a MUCH older game but gratz
I want to be clear on some things before downloading this massive game, 150 gig? I did an online test of my system for Horizon Zero Dawn and my system failed minimum requirements of all areas including no DX12.

An online test for BG3 gave me 3 green check marks, so I guess it's good to go since it requires DX11. Some of the video cards were same as for HZD. My video card is an older AMD 6900 series, so I'm guessing video card with DX12 is the main thing for HZD..

The term you're looking for is "Mana" or "Spell Points" ... and that is NOT "the original D&D system".

D&D has always used "Spell Slots" - X/day of level 1, Y/day of level 2, and so on.
By the way, being as the game is early access, paying such a high price, is all future upgrades free and maybe someday the game will be complete!
there may {its a good bet} be some Dlc at a later time but the price includes the full game whenever they get around to finishing it

the bg3 folder should become 82.5G when its fully installed... the extra space some people talk about is room for unpacking the patches and this goes to your temp folder which is normally C drive by default

if your os is Windows 10 then you should be ok to run it... people with W7 or W8 are going to have issues which just get bigger as time goes on but Gog allows a refund should you need it

@DarthChippo, you are thinking of something else mate, the spell system in this game is D&D with spell slots and cantips not the mana system of game like world of warcraft

in Bg3 you can cast any cantip you know as many times a *day as you like + you can cast X 1st level spells, and Y 2nd level spells as picked by your class and level so for example a level 3 warlock could cast cantrips all the time (which is in fact their goto spell) or she may cast 3 level two spells and about 5 level one spells before returning to camp to rest and reset everything so she casts trash spells for normal combat, may 1 good spell in a boss fight and the other times would be to turn invisable for sneaking around or perhaps some kind of charm spell to talk her way out of a hard fight

another example is a well played Wizard who ends up knowing every spell in the game so tends to have a choice between 'do I cast magic missile here' or save it and cast a 'heal' instead, maybe turn invis? the Wizard has the most custom spell book but still has only X spells before he has to rest

* major rest

Hello ussnorway
I think u misunderstand me:) My nagging was related to the offline-installer. Is not nice to fill my systempartion with junk until the partition is blowing. And gog-galaxy... i dont like it. I try always left me system slim. Only Essentials
And I have no interest in Achievements. Ok, many peoples are ready to kill the own mother for a achievement. Twenty year to life sentence;)

To the DAO-Think. I mean the Offline-Installer from DOA. The Installer has also many many gigabytes, but blowing not my Systempartition. The same think with the Pray-Installer. I haven't experienced anything like this before...
I think the Installer from BG3 was only wrong configuration by GOG.
DAO is older, but i find personally the Graphic better. Is probably a matter of taste.

I have a Cleric. And in the D&D Players Handbook (Side 201) i found the Info that the Cleric must prepare his cast before rest and "fill" the spellslot with a spell. And this is what i saw in older D&D computergames. So, i am a little confused. Ummm, ok it is a "little" step. From Dungeon Hack to Baldurs Gate 3. A little.

Have now 16 gb of ram. The Game runs now better. the memory hunger makes me really scary. A part is memoryleak, but the rest... Know you the ini-tweak to deactivate the blackhole -algorithm?
Exist a timelimit to find Halsin and prevent Kagha to kill the tieflings?

there are no achievements yet... Galaxy only counts how much game time you have i.e, 100 hours total so far but yes its a safe bet it gets added later for kids that like that stuff

DAO is a finished and patched game from back in in 2009, its not fair to compare it a current beta build but yes all modern games suck Ram because modern Windows is designed to load everything into Ram [instead of your hdd] when playing

the Cleric has 3 basic builds; melee, range or talk and the melee build is easy the best at fighting (thats of any class in the game) but it cann't do anything else so is only for min-max people

in BG3 you pick your spells to load from spells known so your Cleric can decide if she wants a heal spell or make water because those are two spells every Cleric knows... she can change this pick at anytime as long as she is not in combat so doesn't have to return to camp everytime she changes spells

there is no memory leak in the game yet... the main suck is running the story vids which should get better once they finish rendoring all the textures into the final build
