Yes, I double checked to see if it was set on manual or computer conrolled. I also have quite a small keyboard and I am playing this on a very small notebook, but I don't think that should be a problem. Maybe I just don't understand the control scheme menu?

I finally got the gun turret to move with the pitch and yaw controls. If this is what you're talking about, then it should be z & x for roll and , & L for yaw. Won't use the mouse, and is totally a pain, so seems like joystick is a good idea :(

You need to manually map the controls for pitch and yaw, map them to the arrow keys. Also, i highly suggest mapping the "slow turret movement speed" button to something comfortable, otherwise the crosshair will move too fast for you to shoot anything. Bear in mind that means you also need to map the firing button so it works with the slow turrent button also.

For example:

I mapped slow turret speed to CTRL, and the fire guns button to SPACEBAR. but this meant i couldnt fire while holding CTRL. I had to change the firing button to CTRL+SPACEBAR in order for it to work.

Also, if you have a joystick/control pad plugged in during launch of the game, that will completely overtake the keyboard controls, even if you aren't using it, so make sure to unplug control devices before starting the game.
