Enjoying Avernum: Escape from the Pit on PC, but even at the lowest resolution, the graphics are so tiny that it starts to strain my eyes. The text is pretty small, too, even on the larger of the 2 settings.

Anyone know how to make the graphics larger?

Changing the resolution is the only way I have found. 1366 x 768 is... not too bad for an older game like this.
Yes, uoscaling the background (via NearestNeighbour), while keeping the highres-text would be appreciated.
yeah, it's a shame the game-play is really good, but the graphics are microscopic.

No excuse, there are loads of game engines around these days that could hammer out nice graphics in 5 minutes. The developers just need to learn a new engine. The one they use was bought for a halfpenny just after the first world war.
I believe Jeff Vogel writes his own game engines for his RPGs, usually creating a new engine for each series of games. He doesn't have the resources to make a top tier engine, but it gets the job done.

You may be right that the time spent learning a new third-party engine could be well worth it. Unity is very popular these days and I've seen some awesome games using it.

This worked surprisingly well, helps you play and enjoy the game without the need for glasses.
