I have Win 7 64-bit, Intel i5-6600, 8 GB RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 with 6 GB. But when running Aven, I have to set all graphic settings to the lowest level, otherwise my PC becomes the major source of heat and noise in my room...
There have been some forum comments on Steam about the needed hardware (the more RAM, the better). Is there some advice which settings should be changed? Because, the graphics do not look so nice any more with everything turned down.

Aven Colony doesn't limit the frame rate by default. You can either turn on V-Sync in the graphics options, or use an external utility to limit the frame rate, this should make your PC run quieter while playing it.

In the NVIDIA settings, V-Sync is set to 'adaptive'. Now I have also activated V-Sync in Aven, and I could change the graphic settings to medium without causing problems. Will have to check out higher settings...
Actually, I do not understand much of these settings, but it beats me why a graphics card produces more frames than the monitor can process (like in 'Railway Empire: default is 200).

generally you want more fps than your monitor can show when you have action oriented games

Thanks for pointing me to this video. It is really very instructive, and I think I got V-Sync and latency etc. sorted out now so far :)
