V0.8: The Special Armor Update!

Greetings friends!

Today we’re launching another update for ATOM RPG: Trudograd Early Access.

While not continuing the main plot, Update 0.8 has brought new side missions and several dozens of new characters to meet and work for, as well as many fixes to most mechanics.

You will be able to finish the previously unfinished side-quests, visit a pre-war military training installation, upgrade your special armor with some top-secret tech, or rest a while near the newly revamped Peremech Kiosk!

We really hope that this new update will be to your liking, and as always we hope to hear back from you. Our Steam forums and social media pages are always open for your ideas, suggestions and critiques.

In case you stumble upon some bug, you can always write to us via support@atomrpg.com providing the error description and your Player.log file. We’ll conjure up a fix in no time.

Thank you for being with us, and let there be ATOM!

Changelog:
• Added two modification options for the special armor via Armen in the Factory;
• Added Francis Liao’s assignment;
• Added new characters and quests for already existing locations, such as Docks, Police station, Grey Corner and Mikhalych’s Tavern;
• Added new random encounters;
• Added a location outside of city walls;
• Reworked previous random encounter mechanics;
• Merchants now have more money and add to their stock more often;
• Tea and coffee effects prolonged;
• Mod replacement no longer makes weapons disappear;
• Dash move trajectory fixed;
• Fixed issue that caused freezing during fights on the market;
• Fixed issue with burst firing at certain enemies causing game to freeze;
• Fixed issue which led to save corruption when using modifications on the special armor;
• Fixed issue with special armor transfer working incorrectly during text quests;
• Fixed all bugs in Mutant Underground Lair;
• Fixed an issue during the Labor Strike quest;
• Items floating in thin air fixed;
• A large assortment of minor and rare bugs fixed.
Thank you very much for this! The good news for me is that the Linux version is available right away. I remember having to create support tickets to get the updates to ATOM RPG...

Maybe I should sent an email to the support address but the following are not really bugs, they are more oversights or, maybe, deliberate choices?

- there are lots of items that have no place/slot in the inventory, tea and coffee for example are not in the consumable category, not counting all the junk we can collect,
- the player cannot switch on the radios that can be activated,
- more importantly, there is no place (as far as I know) where the player can rent a bed, eat and fix their health like in ATOM RPG. There is no such dialogue in the inn where we start the game for example. Maybe you could add beds that can be activated and have the same effect too? Please? :)

Thanks again!

Hello! Thanks for writing, we're always happy to reply to feedback!
- Tea and coffee are not consumable, since these need to be prepared for consuming. The character cannot eat dry tea leaves \ coffee beans, so we made it so the players prepare these drinks at a bonfire.
- Radios are basically decorations, unless you mean your player radio, that has a button on the interface.
- There are options to make a stop and rest anywhere while travelling the global map using the camp button, else you can rest in any place that is not occupied (does not send out a prompt saying you cannot rest here)
Thank you!

Hi and thanks for the answer! :)

I know why tea and coffee are not considered consumables but them being nowhere makes searching the inventory a nightmare; the fact that the inventory is not reorderable is also very impractical, especially when you try to sell stuff. Every obejct should have a category in the inventory in my opinion. Could you do that?

In AROM RPG, we could turn on disk players and have a bit of music, I thought radios would be the same in Trudograd. :(

Will there be places where the player can rent a room in the future?

Wrong thread it seems, I don't know what game this is about but it's not ATOM RPG Trudograd.

Yippie, wrong thread. It's the changelog for UnderRail.

Okay, I edited my posts. :)
There are two NPCs in Grey Corner who only have Russian in their dialog screens. One is standing just across the street as you enter the zone, and the other is the brother who comes to live in the shack after I saved his brother from their old crime boss in a big firefight outside by the horse. I'm sure you all know this, but it would be great to have their dialog changed into English (like all the other NPCs I've interacted with so far) since these are the last two things I can possibly do in the game before another update comes along :)
