Just recently installed Atlantis 2 through Galaxy and as soon as I click play it just black screens. Can't tab, can't alt f4, can't click, and doesn't do anything except the black screen. I can bring up task manager to kill the process via keyboard.

I had played this about a year ago through GoG using the base installer just fine on the same computer. Currently in the process of installing via the base installer to see if it cooperates.

Any idea why and how to actually run it via Galaxy?

Update: No go on the base installers eithers.

Exactly the same here. Have played the very same installation a year or two back. Now it just launches into black screen with exactly the same symptoms. These Atlantis games are just a mystery of universe, like it behaves differently on each system and each year of mankind. Atlantis 1 was full of issues back then, now I can play it okay, I don't even need the 2019 launcher with extra options.

Would love to see similar universal-bug-fixing launcher for Beyond Atlantis too.
Please could you both clarify what operating systems are you using? Please note that the game is not supported for Windows 10, which, I believe, might be the culprit here.

In this case a good idea might be to try launching the game in compatibility mode directly from the game's installation folder which by default should be located here:
C:\GOG Games\Atlantis 2

Once in there please find game's executable "Game", right-click on it, and select Properties. In the properties window please switch to the Compatibility tab, and enable "Run in Windows 7" and "Run as administrator". Press Ok to apply settings, and try to run the game again using the executable file.

Should the issue persist it would be best if you got in touch with us directly by creating a Support Ticket.

It would also help us enormously in pinpointing the issue if you could attach your DxDiag report to the ticket.

Same here I just gave up. I have tried everything, there is just no way to play it (Win7). Do you have The Longest Journey installed? Because sometimes when I click the atlantis2.exe from game directory the The Longest Journey starts and I'm not the only one with this happening.
I have same black screen with Atlantis 3, but Atlantis 1 works fine.
I do have the original CDs and when I uninstalled the GOG version and installed game from my CDs game actualy started fine.

I dont have the problem with Atlantis !, which is even older but with Atlantis 2. My screen is white but ih cant do anything. I tried to start the game in the compatibility mode but the issue is still the same.
I have the same issue, tried all different kinds of compatibility settings, none would work. This is really frustrating...
When using Google I found out that there is an Atlantis 2 "Perfect" mod, but it wouldn't start either.

I get running it going to the directory where I have installed the game and execut "atlantis2.exe" as administrator. Usually, when you start the game from Gog or from Start Menu of Windows, the shortcut executs other file, called "game.exe", that is in the same directory than "atlantis2.exe" but it doesn't work.

It works in windows 7 and windows 10. I've tried in both.

I also put atlantis2.exe in the exceptions of the firewall but I think that wasn't the solution.

I hope I have helped you.

The issue was OBS/Streamlabs. If I had either running it would freeze up Atlantis. Otherwise runs completely fine on windows 7 (which is what I was using and still am so far for offline stuff).
