I don't have it installed anymore (and never played the multiplayer when I did), but according what little I can find out, the only multiplayer mode is the ability to play co-op on the same PC. So using something like Steam's Remote Play or a third-party equivalent (there's one I forget the name of) would be the only option for remote co-op.
