Taosuke573: Kind of a shame of what has happened to this version of Armello.
I guess they got excited too release this on every single platform during kickstarter and later realized that GOG and DRM free wasn't working well for them, same goes for the 32 bit version.
I feel the excitement for a new version of the GOG version died down as everyone most likely refunded the game or lost interest.
Also I feel bad that LoG went through so much bad press from big news outlets like PC Gamer and TechRaptor several months ago while they were busy at PAX and there was no word from anyone for awhile so the damage was pretty bad.
Anyway, Armello still lives on but I fear something in the future may screw things up even worse, the whole skin drama on steam has been damaging their reviews.
I'm not sure if Darcy or anyone at LoG read these forums anymore but I think these devs have a huge heart when it comes to their community and they felt real to me and human as possible.
Hey Friend,
Don't feel sorry for them and have 0 sympathy.
The game was partly funded by the Oz government (AKA the taxpayer AKA me) and was also crowdfunded (they did make $100000 more than what they asked for), so again people funded their game.
Now they turn around and do this to the GoG users? The DRM free platform excuse is rubbish; they saw the popularity of the game on steam and decided to milk the DLCs: have a look at them and see the kind of DLCs they are and the price they ask for it.
I, as for one, did not buy Armello DRM free version, I bought Armello on GoG (which is a DRM free platform). At no point when I bought it, LoG said that it would be dumdeb down in the future.
In conclusion, we got cheated because LoG got greedy: that shows the kind of developers they are.
GoG was right to remove it from their catalog and they should not get associated with these kinds of developers again.
