too bad tghey couldnt control themselves, their greed, attitude and prickness for a few more weeks... because now that galaxy and gog are fine with full online DRM games (gremlin incs) and micro transactions (gwent) i suppose armello would finally fits in here

(and YES, this is a sarcasm)

Still, why the hell nearly every digital boardgames ever has to be steam only or shit on DRM-free community and customers ?
Except Antihero, which is for now the only digital boardgame we have drm free that aint pulling stupid PR stuff and anti consumer trick upon us
(crossing fingers for this to last)
I completely agree about Kickstarter developers not keeping to their promises.
I've totally stopped supporting computer game development there.

emphyrio: (the devs are weaseling out of that one by claiming the steam version is drm free)

fronzelneekburm: It's asshole devs that pull stunts like this that made me swear never to pledge to another Kickstarter campaign ever.

[coming in from the GWENT drm/micro- thread...]

I'm going to look into Antihero, thanks. Wonder if it supports open multiplayer? (hotseat? LAN/direct-IP?)

from what i saw: hotseat, and over internet, crossplatform (requires registering to devs own servs with an email and a username, and it handles the matchmaking through that, outside of steamworks or galaxy, from what i saw)

i didnt check for LAN or plain IP mode yet, i'll come back to you if i find anything new on that regard

Sounds sufficient for me! I think I'll pick it up at the turn of the month, bills-allowing.
Thanks for the recommendation. While antihero only had 11 story levels, I had a good time playing them.
