I would love to have the ability to edit my character like I used to (since I've played the game many times), but none of the editors work with Win 7 64 bit. Does anyone know of an editor that works or a way around this.
P.S. Please no flaming comments about my choice to edit my characters. Thanks!
Actually, that sounds fun. I should at least consider installing the patch to raise the level cap so that I can try Mastering every skill with some character or another.

It would take a really long time to do that. After you get to around level 45 to 50 most enemies don't give nearly enough experience to get you into a really high level. I think I've gotten to level... 70 or so, but that was with a mage Harm-spamming the whole game (which gives the largest amount of experience, since it is based on "hits", not just kills).

Sometimes it is nice to be level 30 by the time you get to the BMC mines though. It usually makes it much easier.

I didn't know there was a patch to raise the level cap. I'll look for it. Thanks!

Corwyn, did you have to put the ocx and dll files into Windows system? If so did you put it into Win 32 system or the other file that's just System? Also, did you back up those ocx and dll's before you did?
Thanks for the help.

When I tested it, right before I posted, it worked fine without adding anything to 7.
Doesn't work for me on Win7/64b.
Run the editor in Administrator mode. Well that's what worked for me.
Nevermind, old thread :|

if you read the readme supplied with the editor there you'll find an answer how to run it in w7/64:

* Q - When I try to run the editor it says that *.dll (ex. Msstdfmt.dll
or comdlg.ocx)is not correctly registered or Installed. How can I fix
this?
A - This problem can be solved by placing that file into your Windows
system folder. Once you do that either: go to a Dos Prompt and type
type "cd system" which switches you to the "\windows\system"directory
Type "regsvr32 *.dll" (ex. msstdfmt.dll)
Close DOS window.
or you can go to the run command under the start menu and
type Regsvr32 C:\windows\system\msstdfmt.dll

you just have to copy and register the file msstdfmt.dll, simple as that

Since you necro'd this already, I'll take a stab.

Has anyone managed to get this to run on Win 10?
