Whenever I am talking to someone, their text and my responses overlap at the bottom of the screen. So to find out what is going on, I have to listen to the audio and then move my mouse around 'til I find which part of the mashup of text are my responses. Anyone know what's going on?

I forgot to mention that I installed the main unofficial patches, if that means anything to anyone

Did you add the -no3d -doublebuffer switches to the target path in the game shortcut and check "Run this game as an administrator" on the Compatibility tab? ( Vista / Win 7 )

Maybe we should write a sticky FAQ with what do to against problems like these. They are, after all, somewhat common.
