Hi guys.

Just got this game from GOG. Having played through it numerous times before, however, I recall that technologists were kind of a pain to play without adjusting the level cap a bit, unlike mages who are always super powerful.

Unfortunately, it seems like Terra-Arcanum, the only site I know which features Arcanum mods, is down. Or at least /most/ of the site is down.

Anyone know where I can find the Arcanum universal level cap remover v0.0.1?

My gunslinging halforc would appreciate being able to max out explosives and gunsmithing while still being able to throw and shoot.

I was hoping that Drog's site would have it (here: http://terra-arcanum.com/drog/dest/index.html), but alas, it doesn't. The closest available there is the Virgil Debug Menu (under "Misc Mods" section) which can give you extra xp - though I'm not sure if you can do that to increase your level over the level cap.

I just downloaded the level cap remover from the web archive link. When I try to run the new Arcanum I get a message saying "insert disc". Is there a way around this?

I believe the Unofficial Patch removes the disc check (that it seems the level cap remover brought back).

Hmmm, maybe. Though my order of how to install everything correctly (which I have listed out so whenever I reinstall Arcanum I do it in the correct order) has the UAP first, then the high quality townmaps patch, then then high quality music patch, and then the level cap remover.

The zip file that I have that is the level cap remover has a .exe patcher file that is used to modify the game files. Does yours not? Maybe that might be an issue? (Though I actually don't know if there are multiple versions of the level cap remover).

I've never had issues with the level cap remover when I install it after everything else. Never even done it another way, this one works for me.

Info about exe file:
If your arcanum.exe file is packed (like XEN) then you must unpack it (if you can) first before applying this patch. Packed arcanum.exe easily recognized by its size about 1 MB, while unpacked is about 2 MB.

Anyone knows if the Follower database, walkthroughs and item database etc is working in terra-arcanum at the moment?

Terra-Arcanum is down again. :-(

Edit: it's now back up, but displaying the following where the forum was:

We're currently going through a major upgrade of our forums right now and it's going to take us some time. We hope to be back soon!

Give it a week or two. This might take us a while as we drag Terra-Arcanum kicking and screaming into the 21st Century...
