I know I can't be the only one that has dabbled in making custom backgrounds for Arcanum. I thought I'd list mine here and encourage everyone else to post theirs. The first one is basically a race replacer so I could use a version of a P&P character from a game that was abandoned when the GM's hard drive ate all the files.

Wolf Person

Though born to a normal family you mysteriously were born with wolf ears and a tail. No reason was ever found though some suspect a magical curse (Magic Aptitude +1). Your wolf heritage affords you a number of bonuses to Strength (+2) and Dexterity (+2). Your senses of hearing and smell are also heightened resulting in a bonus to Perception (+2). However, you suffered socially and emotionally, leading to penalties in Beauty (-2) and Charisma (-1). As a young adult, you set out on your own to find your own place in the world.

Self-Rescuing Princess

Born into a royal family you found getting kidnapped and waiting for rescue to be very boring. Frustrated beyond reason and recourse you decided to rescue yourself and leave to find your own place in the world. Various scars and a general disinterest in primping and pampering have affected your beauty (-3 Beauty). Determination to escape and thrive on your own has increased your Willpower (+2). The training and struggles to forge your body into the tool of your emancipation has left you with improved Strength (+1), Dexterity (+1) and Constitution (+1). Being cut off from your family's wealth has left you a little light in funds (half the normal starting wealth).

Prince Charming

Born into a royal family you found your calling easily; chasing after kidnapped princesses. You have had an education in all the most handsome combat skills (moderate bonuses to Melee, and Dodge) and are very persuasive (moderate bonus to Persuasion) but won't be caught skulking in the shadows (moderate penalty to Sneaking and Lockpicking). Being handsome and charming you have bonuses to Beauty (+2) and Charisma (+2) and Strength (+2) but an easy life of chasing after Kidnapped Princesses and looking Handsome has left you with penalties to Willpower (-3) and Intelligence (-3). Your starting wealth is double what it normally would be. Your personality tends to be very polarizing with people either enjoying it or finding it very grating (more extreme reactions).

Suggestion if I might add, you can use multiple applications that have been made to make it easier to share backgrounds:
