I think I've only heard of this game before, but it seems to be a great game. However, lately a lot of games have been dishing out some technical issues so I'm no mood for them. Anyone tried the GOG version yet?
I would also like to hear how well it runs on Win7 64bit, since some other games I bought from gog lately (Dungeon Keeper 2, Desperados 1) had some issues running on this OS, despite win7 being listed as compatible.

As seen in another post, there seems to be an issue with the battle tutorial. I too experienced the problem but a reload fixed the issue. Since then, everything has been running great and I am running Win7 64 Bit.

Every system is going to be different, one Win 7 is going to have a flawless performance while another is going to be a brick, but I think overall, seeing so very few complaints (minus tutorial crash, but easy fix), it seems there are very few problems.
Win 7 64 bit here also with Nvidia card and the previous set of WHQL drivers.

Like mentioned previously there seems to be a bit of a bug in the battle (Whackmaster) tutorial, character falling into nowhere or the exe crashes. However, when you start the tutorial the game autosaves so if it does crash you are there at the start of it again when reloading. Since then though I havnt had a single issue at all with this fantastic game.

Yeah I suffered this one... but a game restart fixed it... mildly annoying, meh.

Yeah small annoyance, thankfully there is an autosave point as you start training so you only lose a few minutes play, there are also the weird bug eyed things all over the place to save. I've been getting into the habit of saving regularly regardless now just incase! Havnt had a single crash since the Whackhouse now, forgot how much I loved this game playing it again now after way to many years.

One thing I did kind of think is a reference to Dues Ex. Talking to one of the police officers they dont like you as someone in their police department wears jeans and a jacket over his uniform, fits the descripton of JC Denton!
Yeah I saw that... it hadn't dawned on me to look at it that way, good catch.

I rarely bother saving the game unless it's just before I speak to someone or do something I know I have an option or two with.. there are just so many autosave points.
Basically other than this annoyance bug you just reload there's no game breaking issues or? I run Windows 7 Pro 64-bit version.

How well does 1080p works as it's quite important to me and an option for high res texture mods or plugins would be good too.

The resolution doesnt go that high, 1600x1200 is as high as it goes, no option for 1920x1080 in the setup (GCTSetup) and my monitor only does 1080p so cant set 1600x1200. Currently have it set to 1280x960 which has High Res next to it. Looks pretty good for its age, character faces look a little square and lack sharp detail but its the Quake 2 engine.

There arnt many mods available for the game unfortunately and using hacks to do HD / widescreen gaming can knock menus off the screen etc and mess things up.

Dont let it put you off though, its a really fun game and just flows so well
