I'm about an hour in and ready to start photographing things but the camera will not activate. Hitting the default key "F11" does nothing. Is there a way to check the mapping and possibly remap it to a key that would work better?

If you haven't figured it out, you can definitely remap keys in the options menu.

kalirion: If you haven't figured it out, you can definitely remap keys in the options menu.
Thanks for the heads up. I did see the configure keyboard in the options menu, but it had only 8 available keys for remapping none of which are for the camera. If there's additional items, I don't see the way to access them.

Heres a daft one for you.

Have you got an F Lock key on your keyboard (usually situated above the block of keys above cursors) If you have then you may have pressed it at somepoint and disabled the function keys. Happened to me, use F11 to take screen shots on Steam and it stopped working, turned out I had tapped F Lock and none of my F keys were working!

Thanks but my other F keys work fine in game. I think it's something to do with my Logitech Keyboard as when I hit F11 it also activates an on on-keyboard light indicating that insert is active. I grabbed Setpoint off of Logitech's website and found it did exactly nothing.

I think it's come down to

1. find a way to remap the camera to another key via a config file, or a menu item I've missed.
2. use a different keyboard or
3. don't worry about the camera and just enjoy the game.

Go into install folder > anoxdata > configs

In there find the file called default.cfg

Right click on it and select open with and then select notepad.

In the top part find the line :

bind f11 "invoke 101:1" // toggle photo (or other special) interface

Change just the f11 bit of that line to a key you want to use, make sure you look at the other bindings further down the screen so you dont double up on a key. Then make sure you save before you exit and try it out.

That was exactly what I was looking for. I'm going to replace one of the earlier F keys with the camera as there's already overlap in F1-F8. It's also pretty cool that the game's humor extends to the config file as noted by uncle squirrel's warning.

Ended up binding the camera to "k" and it works great now.

Bear in mind that the first 8 F keys are already assigned. It will probably be best assigning F9 or F10 or a standard key on your keyboard. If you do bind F9 or F10 you need to delete the Unbind line associated with the F key you pick.

Personally I would assign a standard key, maybe something like the letter P in lower case in the file (photo!!), saves messing to much with the config file.
