Well it's your choice whether you want to keep buying from GOG or not, but have you tried all possible fixes in this game forum?

Ooops, sorry. Didn't mean to suggest I wouldn't be buying GOG games anymore. I love GOG. What I meant was I won't be buying any more on faith alone. I will be reading the game specific forums first from now on before I purchase. Which sort of sucks since it puts me out of any new release deals that come along. But while I think I SHOULD be able to purchase here on faith, I no longer feel I can.

But I will still purchase here. I love GOG, perhaps not as much as before, but I'm still a GOGGER lol. It just is disappointing to me to lose the abillity to buy on faith though but I've read about at least 5 games recently with some pretty significant issues. And IMO, games with significant issues shouldn't be sold. Of if sold, those significant issues should be placed prominently on the first page of the game card.

Well, my post won't be very comforting, but even as a Young Trying-To-Get-In-Shape User, believe me, I at least know how it can be a little painful to lose that joy you found in something, in this case, a gaming service with classics and memories abounding.

But DEFINITELY read the game specific forums before you purchase. However, somebody is always going to have some issue; every forum here has at least a few posts about woes. I suppose somebody has to purchase to let others know about possible issues, but we don't live in a perfect world, and GOG is a small operation that only has so much time to try to fix problems (and, of course, has to make income to try to keep going, so they won't report EVERY issue on the front page), so being cautious is of course a good thing.

I don't think cluttering each game page with a lot of specific game bug notes is a good idea, but that's because I think GOG's design here is utterly fantastic; it's one of the best designed sites I've ever seen (I reckon). However, maybe GOG should provide more short "notes" at the bottom (like with DK2, Syndicate, and Superfrog) would be a good idea, and I also think each game page should have a link to a game-specific forum.
It just is disappointing to me to lose the ability to buy on faith though but I've read about at least 5 games recently with some pretty significant issues.
After DK2, my feelings have flip-flopped between excitement and disappointment. (Sometimes I wonder why we put so much "happiness" in a site like this...) I'd say, be cautious and willing to tweak, and be willing to not buy exclusively from here (which you probably don't do anyways. :P)

vocab: When you first get to the rainbow sanctuary, on the way to Dr.Bowman you get a loading screen when you walk up a pair of stairs, but when you try to open the door that you just came from it doesn't open, but you hear a sound that the door is open. When you walk away the door gets stuck and you just hear a screeching alarm sound go off until you reload the game completely.
got this too. is this always occurring? any way around it?

Just reload your save.
One particularly annoying bug for me is when the music from a previous area plays over the cinematic.
I've been experiencing a movement bug. Several different things happen at different times:

1. My character gets stuck in forward movement. He continually moves forward despite my not pressing a key, or pressing a different key.
2. My character can't move at all.
3. My character can move, but the LifeCursor stops functioning. I can move around, but can't do things like talking to people or opening doors.

This bug seems to affect multiple saves. When the bug occurs, it continues to occur after loading previous saves as well.

Part pf the problem is that the keyboard bindings sometimes get blanked and you have to rebind them manually.

On Hephaestus during the key theft investigation Thomas Litton's door (with the candle) will crash the game if activated when you have to talk to Brother Liseria.

Did the Sluice Gate sidequest during the investigation so that might be a factor.

I have number 1 here as well. It, unfortunately, makes the game unplayable for me :( I was looking forward to play it :(
I'm at the part where I'm controlling Paco by himself in the Canyon on Democleus, I got to a part where a bridge was out and crossed on a pipe beside in, when I got to the other side I immediately battled 4 bugs after that I back-tracked back across the pipe to the save point but when I tried to go forward again I found that when he got to the far side of the pipe there was a small lip he would refuse to climb (I guess the battle triggered at that point originally) and he's stuck!

I actually remember bug 1 from the disk version (even with the latest patch, 1.02 build 46) - you can push other keys and they will work, but he'll still keep moving forward (and will do so if not pressing anything).

What I did to fix it was press escape to go to the menu, then Alt+TAB out of the game, then back in again. I'm pretty sure this fixed it at the time.

If it doesn't work, then reload a save - but make sure to exit the game completely first! Typically any bugs you have will remain if reloading a saved game if you don't completely kill the game prior to that. I seem to also remember (although this is getting vague now) that Anox in some situations may still have its exe around after quitting - so you might want to check the Task Manager before relaunching just in case this happens (I could be confusing this issue with another buggy game though).

This didn't work for me. After I load the save he still keeps running. Alt-tabbing doesn't work either. Bah, I really want to play this game :(
