Basically the way I feel and most of the old timers on Anachronox believe that the only true version of the game is v1.02 build 46. As it correct most of the issues with the game, such as removing the broken eax sound system, adding save points to the end of the game, memory fixes, script fixes, and pretty much everything else.

I just want to know before I through down money on a digital copy compared to my cd copy is this truly v1.02 build 46?

Yes, it is build 46, along with a few additional fixes.

Yup, when I first played it, I had to use nhancer to get opengl working...maybe it might b worth it to buy this game again :D

I'm not sure of all the issues the original releases had, but I'd like a bit of clarification here:

Please tell me it still has some level of DirectSound3D or OpenAL support and the problems were with the EAX extensions themselves...I'd hate to find that the patches basically degraded the sound TOO much.

There was a bug on modern systems in the part where you needed to follow a guy (named Lucko) but in some area transition the game would think you lost him and you'd get a game over. The solution back a few years ago was to force slow down of the CPU... has this been fixed?

Yes, just passed it.

Although saying this, I've also played the disc version and never come across that bug.

I'd like to get some more confirmation on the Lucko Coldwolf bug, and see if anyone gets it on this version. I had this same problem on my disc-based install, and while I was able to get past it with the help of the solutions tried by the last two posters in this thread, and some perseverance, eventually some area saves got desynched.

Specs:
Win7 64-bit, 8 GB ram, 6 core 3.3 Ghz AMD Phenom II processor, GeForce GTX 560.

I was also forcing Vsync via the Nvidia control panel, as there were various camera movement problems and frustrating delays during fights, unless the game was capped at 60 FPS. The uncapped framerate also caused some jittery character movement, most noticeable on the steeper of the Spiral Fountain paths. Have these issues been fixed in this version?

This is great news and then conbined with you fixing the Lucko quest bug leads me to believe that you got permission from the publisher to make serious fixes. Is that right? And isn't that very unusual?
I always knew you guys had the talent but couldn't get the permission to use it.

Anyway, good job! Now I don't have to fiddle with my carefully preserved cd copy anymore.

AFAIK it is very very rare they can get their hands on the actual code. I'm not sure they did in this case, maybe there was a workaround patch instead?
