I downloaded a demo. I played it with Windows 7 OS and had rainbow color artifact in the game. No compatibility settings changed how it ran.

How does the GoG version do?

Bought it today. It works great, no graphical glitches.
I am using Win 7 64bit.
Played only one battle for 2,5 hours on the biggest random map. At first it ran mega fast, but then I played with the speed sliders and toned it down. It's kind of sluggish when moving the screen with my mouse. Can't remember if it is normal or it is because the map is so huge.

Just bought and the Cossacks anthology, because I have never played it :)

It's in the options menu, F10 or F12, or click on the M in the middle of the upper bar of the screen. There you can choose a slow or fast game mode and under it there are two sliders. One of them is game speed slider.

After playing some more, I am certain that if you choose to make the game slower, the screen movement is getting slower too. :( It's the same in Cossacks.

Thank you, multishev. I'm checking out Cossacks too. Both American Conqest and Cossacks Anthology look great. Lets hope for Cossacks II on GOG. :)

book99, easy fix or at least it was for me. set your screen resolution to 1024 by 768 then launch the game. this worked for me. i also loss mouse control until i did this!

I bought American Conquest and Cossacks. I'm happy to say the color issue is not present in GoG version. I only had color problems with the demo version of American Conquest.
