I'm enjoying this game a lot already. How much better is this other game of which you speak?

From what I've seen of Alien Shooter it's very much the same concept: you run around in an isometric view slaughtering hoards of aliens, then upgrade your character's abilities and stats. But the graphics are definitely better, it looks like Vengeance can handle more aliens at a time, and there's a multiplayer mode that I sadly never got to try out.

I'm playing alien shooter now and find it dammed hard to get past the third level, but I won't give up it's Do Or Die

Well a big red armor and a drone can help quite a bit.

I don't remember which level is the third but I remember a level where, out of luck, I just bought these and simply ran into the beasts until I could get the dynamite and blow up the first batch of alien generators. Then after cleaning the rest of the level was more conventional, or at least less stressful, which was a good thing as both my armor and drone was gone, as well as the majority of my ammo for all weapons. :-)

In this game sometimes you have to know how to run into the enemy as there are unlimited generators. On the other hand, keep a close eye on your health bar, keep moving and dodging, and stay alive!!!

I'm actually currently stuck on the 5th (last) mission of the first expansion. Everything was going well till I got locked in a room with the boss and the unlimited charging monsters (the ones that even the flamethrower and the plasma mini gun take a couple seconds to take down.) Not sure how I'm gonna do that one...

Yeah right yesterday I have finished the first mode and started the "Fight for life" mode and I must say that passed the first levels the game becomes quite hard.

However it keeps entertaining so that's cool :-)

My first impressions: very cool. great soundtrack, good fast twitch action. Gotta get back to the game.

Vengeance is the boxed version of Alien shooter 2. The GOG is the improved reloaded version that does away with the individual weapon skills.
