I know that the bonus content is just that - a bonus, but still there should be some sort of quality control before releasing it. I'm still wondering how it could happen with the Praetorians soundtrack that all files names were cut off after 13 letters and apparently no one ever noticed... (already reported to the GOG team)

Anyway, back to the "The Nations" soundtrack...

First of all, why isn't it a digital version of the ORIGINAL soundtrack, which saw a proper commercial release on CD in 2001:
http://vgmdb.net/album/2286

?

Instead, what we get seems to be ripped straight from the game and converted to mp3. The problem with this, it was done badly. There are many mp3 frame errors, clicks at the beginning and/or end of many tracks, some tracks end abruptly without fading or transition to the next track, and even the ID3 tags are completely useless, as the title of all tracks is just "Track".

Please GOG, fix this. It shouldn't be that hard to provide a proper digital version of the original soundtrack, should it?

// edit:
Sorry, it wasn't my intention to post this twice, just had no idea what that "question / problem" checkbox does.

I hope it isn't the same for Alien Nations soundtrack as well :(

edit: it was, and worse than I expected.

No news on that? Should be too much work to rip a CD properly...
I seriously doubt any of the extras for these games will be added to or updated until and unless Nordic allows the games to be sold here again.

As to uploading the CD version of the soundtrack, I assume they would need the permission of the music's composer and/or the CD's publisher to do this legally; as it stands, they can probably only use the versions of the music tracks which appear in the game itself, since Nordic has some rights to those, being The Nations' publisher.
Going to add my 2 cents here also... Currently listening to track 4 in the soundtrack, definitely noticing some skipping/corruption. It's kind of disturbing to listen to with headphones on, so at this point I'm deleting that track & am going to hope I don't end up having to delete the entire soundtrack...

Weather they still offer this product or not, I already paid for it and that includes the price of the soundtrack. It honestly sounds like someone played the game on a system that couldn't keep up and kept skipping and they just recorded it with a device sitting next to the speakers. I find I'm buying less and less on GOG in recent months as more and more games aren't working on supported hardware and extras either aren't there on the newer releases or are totally messed up as in the case of these soundtracks :(
