I've had a number of issues with AVG misidentifying gogwrap as malware when I try to play The Nations. AVG keeps crashing the game so that it can warn me. Has anyone else had issues with the game working after telling their malware program to simply ignore the "threat"? Did a redownload of the installer fix it?

This question / problem has been solved by Namurimage
There is a therad right below this one on the same subject.

I have installed The Nations a while back and i run the game without AVG complaining about it, although i did not install the game now, i installed it a while back.

You can exclude the file in question or the entire game folder to keep AVG from bothering you with it.

Click on "Tools", "Advanced Settings", then scroll down to Resident Shield and click on "Exclude Items". Then add the game folder to the exceptions list or just the file in question if you prefer.

Thank you. I somehow missed the thread of which you speak when looking for one. I will try this tomorrow when I re-install Nations.
That's ok, i only pointed out that thread to let you know that you weren't the only one experiencing issues with The Nations and AVG.

I think that setting either the file or the game folder as an exception will keep AVG from warning you about the file in question.
By the way I tried this and it fixed the issue. Thanks again.
