Is the coop mode for this game local (on one machine I mean) or lan-based? I'd be interested in the game if it has local coop :)
yes. its local. (keyboard + joystick, needs joystick emulation in settings. like in boxer for os x)
What a shame, I would love to play it online with a pal.

So, does that mean you need both a keyboard and a joystick to play coop? You can't just use the keyboard?
I'm afraid so. I was trying to play coop with my brother, but without a joystick we couldn't play. But in Tower Assault you can play on one keyboard. By the way, someone knows how to change controls in Tower Assault? And how to make joystick work in Alien Breed?

Alright, thanks for the replies :)

I'd be interested in how a joystick is made to work in it then
Try Joy2Key and map the keyboard controls to your Joystick
Actually, having played the GOG versions of Alien Breed and Tower Assault I can categorically say that Tower Assault is either 2 players on one keyboard, or two joysticks for 2player mode, and Alien Breed 1 is keyboard for both, keyboard and joystick, or joystick or keyboard, or two joysticks.

For Alien Breed 1, just run the "Config" program that came with it. Not the GOG Graphics Set up, the Config one. There you will be able to set up the controls and everything (best to only touch the control bits though because the GOG installer already set everything else up as best it can.)

I'd just add to this that if you find the game too slow, and thus too easy, hit Ctrl-F12 a few times to increase the speed (Ctrl-F11 to decrease it again).
if you use a mac, then boxer's built-in joystick works great with the 360 pad drivers.
btw how long is the coop mode in alien breed 3?
