I bought and installed the game and when I run it, the game sits at the loading screen for about a minute or two and then just crashes. I've attached the error message that pops up in Windows.

Could it be my computer?

I've included some info from DXDiag:

I assume then that is what is causing the game to crash then?
As you can see in Steam forum, the crash problem at the loading screen is very common. It is not your computer.

I wish I could figure out what is causing the issue. I assume then it's a game issue or some setting on my PC that is crashing the game.
According to the error log, it seems something related with Unity engine, as it mentions unityplayer.

Don't worry about your computer. It is a bug that has occurred on many computers. Although I suspect that this error has to do with using Windows 7 or Windows 8 (or 8.1). Remember that nVidia is no longer providing updated drivers for these operating systems.
An afterthought, but maybe it'll help someone. For two days I've been trying to figure out why the game crashes when loading the start menu... Nothing helped, not even the "magic" with V-sync... until it was enough to disconnect the game controller from the usb on my laptop (but by then I had already returned the game to Gog and experimentedon the one I bought from Steam)...
