Hello GOG-community!

As for this classic gem is now available here on GOG, you could install this one under Linux or Windows as native port.

The game works therefore without further problems as 32bit-executable in native mode throughout static recompilation while the GOG-version uses DOSBOX. Don't get me wrong that runs also perfectly but with the native ports there are also higher resolutions possible, for example with widescreen-monitors. Very curious, thanks for sharing. But do have any other source for the files (other than Google Drive)? Are you the author?

No I'm not the author. To give him / her credits: The original port was done for the Pandora-device (http://repo.openpandora.org/?page=detail&app=albion_sr). The source-code therefore was taken to build then this port for Linux and Windows. I also tried to contact the author for another link. If I got a response I'll post this here, of course. Google-Drive is for now the only possibility I've recognized until today. Perhaps we could also take the package-files and reshare, but rherefore we must give credits to the original author. :-)

i can't get it to work.

gog version is not cd version. did ayone managed it to work with gog version?

i'd love it to play in widescreen and bigger resolution.

The ins/gog files are actually a cue/bin CD image (as can be seen from dosbox_albion_single.conf).

Use your favorite tool to mount/extract it, then follow the instructions in the readme-Windows/-Linux.

Great to see, that someone is actually fixing this game after all this time in addition to the awesome ports.

PS: I was the one who nagged M-HT to compile a port for desktop-Linux and Windows for us lazy n00bs.

Hey everyone: Some time has passed by since I wrote about this "Lets play". Perhaps you've recognized this one was on "Dailymotion". Because of their hard and very irritating rules I've deleted every video and quit this platform. But the videos are not lost.
