Is Albion able to stretch or scale or whatever to fill the entire screen...?
For me it defaults to leaving out huge borders around the game screen...
I tried adding 1920x1080 etc. line to the ini-file but that did nothing.
Any help would be appreciated...

That usually happens to me when GOG decides to use an odd output mode for DOSBox, which was the case for Albion for me as well. I changed the "output" to opengl and my usual "fullresolution" to 0x0 which will scale the whole thing properly. Problem solved. ;)

Ah, Thank you for the tip!

I was starting to fiddle around with that conf file, but couldn't get it scaled all the way to full screen.
Thanks!

Albion should be a lot of fun :)

Sorry for being lame but where exactly do you change your "fullresolution" ? Much appreciated!

It can be found in the main game folder's dosbox config file. It should be something along the line of dosbox_albion or the like. Just open it with wordpad or equivalent. Resolution options should be listed pretty much on the top of that list.

Thanks for the advice. I include what worked for me in case it might help anyone.

The original GOG settings made the game appear with its original resolution completely scaled to the monitor, which looked horrible.

Your advice worked for me, only that

"output" = ddraw (opengl did not do the trick for me)

This combination was fine, with the proper black margins to left and right. That is, keeping the original aspect. However, the game looked a bit blurry due to the default escalation of the DosBox output by the monitor.

Then, I followed the suggestion in the DosBox configuration file and made:

fullscreenresolution = 2560x1440 (that is, the native resolution of the monitor). This gave a great picture. Now instead of using the scaling of the monitor, all the job was made by the filter selected in DosBox.
