Remedy Entertainment announced that the game will be removed from stores after 5/15 due to expiring music licences.
Owners will keep the game, but it won't be available on stores.
This does not concern American Nightmare (yet?).
Will gog be getting the 90% closing sale as well?
low rated
To be honest, Remedy should just close down the studio and retire. Alan Wake has soundtrack issues, Quantum Break have a nightmare of a deal with Microsoft. They are pretty much stupid when comes to running a game studio. And don't tell me otherwise.

Look at the guys behind The Witcher series, pure class devs, with major respect for gamers.
Remedy = Worst people ever, bad deals for gamers, and now removing games becaused they couldn't even agree with a soundtrack-deal to benefit them and the gamers.

Remedy, please, just give up.
Two questions : Are we sure it will get removed on GOG too ? And if it is, some special sale is eventally planned ?

Remedy's news about it indicates that it will be removed from all storefronts.

As to whether it will go on sale here - Remedy's response through Twitter was uncertain so it seems like it will depend highly on whether they can actually get in contact with someone at GOG to start the sale before the game is to be removed.

I hope there will be a sale, like to get this drm free before theyre possibly forced to remove/replace the soundtrack.
And I thought we had some chance to get the OST...

American Nightmare has a few songs from Poets of the Fall (The Happy Song and Balance Slays the Demon), and the rest is scored by Petri Alanko.

The first Alan Wake also had a score by Petri Alanko, but it also has a different song at the end of each episode (like Poe's "Haunted", Roy Orbison's "In Dreams", and others). That's where I suspect the licensing trouble is happening.
Remedy hinted at the episode ending songs, so the limited deals include David Bowie, Depeche Mode and other's songs.

Hope for 90% deal (it's already in most stores) and/or GOG connect
And now the goodbye Alan Wake sale has arrived. Question is: Is it also a good buy.

It's a fantastic game. If you like classic horror movies like Birds and other horror books, you'll find this game to be inspired by several works from Stephan King and Alfred Hitchcock, Twin Peaks, and many others.
This is based on personal experience by the way. I could be wrong.

I am looking into buying this but that controller part is scaring me quite a bit.

At the current discount, if you've had any interest in the game at all since it was released on PC then it's hard to find an excuse not to buy it.

They stated their regret over having not participated in the licensing negotiations themselves.
