I've never played any of the Alan Awake on xbox because i don't use it anymore lol. So i was wondering which method you like to play with. I'm thinking of playing with the xbox controller so i can just lay back on chair, turn lights of and wear headphones. I usually play third person games with a controller with the exception of the witcher series.

What would you say
Well, after playing a good while, I couldn't stand using the keyboard mouse. I tried looking for answers to solve the awkwardness of the movements, but according to the article link, the game is best played with a mouse due to them keeping the mapping of the 360 controller and it would be too much to fix it for us keyboard/mouse users.

My answer - use a controller! So much easier than fighting his drunken walking with a keyboard/mouse.

lol thanks for the answer. Guess it's time to get my controller out. Can't wait
First time I tried Alan Wake with keyboard/mouse but now I'm using my 360 pad too. The game feels better with gamepad although you need some time to learn aiming if you've never played shooters with a gamepad.
For those that want a better feel with mouse input try setting "Direct Aiming" to enabled in the controls options.
This should bypass most of the mouse look acceleration that is felt when controlling the camera.

So i played till the second episode and playing with controller is smooth. I think that if i did play with mouse the game would become to easy because playing with an analogue stick is kind of challenging for me lol

Can someone help me set DS3 Tool (PS3 controller) with Alan Wake)? Is it compatible?

I tried and the game doesn't react to it (or at least, it doesn't seems to react).

I am afraid this game supports XBOX360 controller only. So I am using XBOX 360 Controller emulator for my LOGITECH Rumblepad II.

See and search http://code.google.com/p/x360ce/

Actually the MotionInjoy driver also allows you to turn on 360 emulation, I use it in a few games.
