Hello,

I bought Alan Wake and Alan Wake's American Nightmare back during that deal where you picked 5 games from a list and got them at like 80% off. That's irrelevant, but anyway.
Neither game will work. I get the error message
"Multi-sample antialiasing not supported by your graphics hardware. Alan Wake requires this in order to run. Please see that your system conforms with the minimum specification and ensure you have the latest graphics card drivers installed."
Could someone please explain to me how to fix this? I've tried running both games as an administrator. It simply does not help.

Thanks in advance for any responses, help or not.

What is your graphics card? Both Alan Wake titles are graphically demanding as I recall, and I'm unsure if integrated graphic cards (aka most Intel ones) will be able to run them. If not, try running the game's setup and disabling MSAA, though since I don't have the games installed currently, I can't provide better instructions :/

You can disable MSAA on setup?

No idea actually. And by setup I mean the game's setup, not the installer. Can grab the game and check, though it will take an hour or two to reply.

What do you mean by setup then?

I think Alan Wake had a Graphics setup option in the start menu, but not really sure. Give me ~30 mins to install American Nightmare and I'll see if I remember correctly or not.

Okay. I'm trying to reinstall Alan Wake, too. Thank you for helping me.

Ok, just installed American Nightmare. The setup it has can only change the language, not the graphics options. So I fear you need a better GPU to be able to play Alan Wake :(
Aw. That sucks.
