Highmen, Day 1

Lost 3 tier one troops to a single hell hound. Almost lost our leader too.

TS
Anyone want to take over from Daemonvirus? I want to actually get a game completed in this map so I can make changes to it, and he's in both games.

Can you send your turn to Cyberrod68 instead? PM'ed you his email
Sent to Cyberrod.
Strange, I didn't receive this turn until about 2 days ago along with just about every other game I'm currently playing... might need to check my settings.

Should I just leave this one then untouched and let you guys move on with it?

Yes please! I don't want to mess cyberrod around. And besides, you are still in the older Xelm PBEM, so it should be no great loss
Lol, no worries. Not sure why my wrapper hasn't been receiving anything for the past few days. And sure enough after resetting things I get five games from five days ago. D:

I feel a bit bad for assuming you'd disappeared again, instead of messaging you. But not very.
Actually I did have an issue with my wrapper too, recently. It was giving me an error message until I re-added my email.
Haha, it's cool. I've been tied up with unending sickness lately anyways. You wouldn't believe how hard it is to get rid of a cough when your job includes talking to people on the phone ALL DAY.

I've got other games to start up and some mapping work I want to get into anywhos, so one less map overall isn't gonna kill me. STILL LOVE YOU SOUTHERN! ♥
Azracs, Day 1

If I want to repair THAT fire node, I'll have to cast fire halo on the rebuilder so it can walk across the lava.
IpsurankeAnomodorous, Dark Elves, Day 1

We take possession of a Death Node. We also bribe an undead town to join us, and our new soldiers take possession of an Elven town. We need taxes, so migration will have to wait.

We investigate a ruin, trading a sword for a sword, but we retreat when a wraith is spotted.

OOC: Southern, remember to account for farm lands around cities when placing terrain. I have several tiny cities here, but they are all severely hampered in farming, and farmland is +2 gold per hex per turn. I'm not sure what else you've changed, but I'm already going to hit the upkeep wall and I haven't managed to move any of my initial builders to a burned site. If you're keeping an eye on that, its fine, just be aware.

It's a deliberate low-gold start. But whether that decision was the right one remains to be seen. If looking back on the game people comment that it was too slow, too impoverished, then I'll use your suggestion about expanding the farmlands.

As long as you are making the informed choice about limiting starting gold. :)

We'll see if I regret buying those units instead of using one of my builders or something.
