found a boatload of maps at Heavengames -- does anyone know where to extract the ZIP files? (these are .HSM files -- all maps in Scenario/Custom are .AHM files). thanks.

Default direction would be:

C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Age of Wonders\Scenario\Custom

That's where they go. =)

My maps in there are HSM. Don't know why yours are different.

maps are extracted in the map folder

Maps for AoW1 are .hsm files. Maps for AoW2 and Aow:SM are .ahm files.

i think the map i'm looking at may be mislabeled or in the wrong forum. i'll look again for .ahm maps.

thanks, i didn't know that. i did choose an .ahm map, extracted it to Scenario/Custom. opened the game, chose Scenario, and there it was -- but when i selected it, the game crashed. possibly it was meant for SM, didn't think of checking the ruleset, i'll try that.
