RoliDUNE: guys from steam already downloading game, shame for gog.com my first and last order from this pice of shite website.
Was quite happy that I could get AoW3 without using steam... and I WILL be happy once I can do so. But man, I've got 2 hours time before I must go to work and now I can't use them to download. How lame...

Jaqen: I'm having a huge problem with the Deluxe version too.

The game appears on my shelf, but it tells me that I'm forbidden to download the game if I try to skip the GOG downloader. (403 error)

If I try to use to the GOG downloader, however, it doesn't work, telling me "unable to fetch data"
i'm getting the same thing and it's really pissing me off. I didn't purchase on steam because i wanted the drm free version but if this is what can be expected then i might just bite that bullet and purchase on steam from now on regardless

Arcador: My guess is tech issues.

Lets not freak out but wait a bit.
Well sure it's tech issues - but that was to be forseen. But no one ever learns from this. "Ooooh, release of a big game that ten quadrillion people pre-ordered. Surely they won't try to download it all at the same time when it comes out. Oh crap, they DO? Why? That was sooooo unexpected."
And thats a problem here, on steam, on origin. Everywhere where people need to unlock downloads like this one -.-"
Problems here too... 404 error when I click windows installer and not working with gog downloader either...I have faith in gog.com to work these technical issues out. *fingers crossed*

A little thinking on your part would've stopped you from writing nonsense.
That's why I hate downloads. I would happily walk into a store an buy the game in a box. (Of course only if it where whithout the steam crap.)
Opps I meant 403 error is what im getting along with the word 'forbidden'...

sure but AoW3 is one of their first AAA (or AA+) titles they release and they want to introduce more in the future. but if they do so then they should be prepared for some huge traffic during the release. they aren't kids but professionals which should accomodate for such very likely scenario.
Guys,

Seriously - get a grip.

Don't re-purchase because you can't wait 20-30 mins (maybe less or more) OR because Steam guys will have it "first".

What is this - pseudo justice of the man that can't wait?

And it would because of what reason? Tell me which part of my statement is wrong. Preordered Skyrim over Steam - released and crashed, preordered AoW3 here, released and crashed. Happend a few other times on origin and steam. So it seems to be a rule. Just try to let everyone download all at once and wonder why it's not working. Releasing on lets say.... 12:00 in every time zone would have prevented that.

I'm having this same kind of feeling.
I'm really for supporting GOG and it's business model, but they should REALLY provide a working infrastructure.
just started working. downloading now...well 18 min late - i can live with that ;)

Doesn't work for me ... do they need to repair every account one by one?
