It's sad that our flyer died, but we still slaughtered our way through a major Dwarven stronghold. Hopefully it will more than compensate for the north-west, where our holdings are being overrun by the two Dwarven Heroes.

Those heroes are insane. I am sorry for giving them more items.
We tried to kill some neutrals with doom bats.
It attacked nomad horse archer, archer landed 2 4DMG hits in row and the battle was over.
Good times. Love this map.

I had hoped to sell the Succubus-attracting Tower Relay, but the hasted, water walking Dwarves are too fast.

I haven't seen such an amazingly well-outfitted hero since I played some huge single player scenarios years ago. 17 Attack, 20 Defense, Life Stealing, Double Strike, Extra Strike, Resurrect, Resurgence ! Abominations and Warlords can fight them, but move slowly.

Edit: Really must learn to grow such heroes myself.

The resurgence ability is broken as are many of the other magic items. In an earlier battle, my other will kitted hero died with the resurgence item equipped and didn't come back to life...

The same happened to me in Prison Break with one of my best heroes (maybe THE best).
Quite infuriating.

I wonder if it has to do with moving into a hex and leaving no units in the hex in which the hero was in when they died...

Warlords and Minotaurs and a Flyer, along with a few others. That's enough to break through the walls and attack those inside pretty much immediately. I was stupid to dither, accumulating a pointlessly overwhelming force, before attacking.

Day 23, Orcs

The West falls, and we will be utterly outmaneuvred in the centre by this enemy.

I wish I had haste instead of about 5 different mainly lowlevel summoning spells.

OOC: In this game I tried to hamstring Mimo by giving him the race with no concealment, low movement, no true sight, no seduce, no Bard Skills. Pretty much just mountaineering and nothing else. The result? He uses two heroes instead. Is this why Vitek is a jaded cynic?
