I like this game and so happy to see they sold on GOG.

I thank GOG as well for bringing it here. I refuse to buy things from steam anyway. I don't like regional pricing, but the real evil player here is the publisher. Anyway, enough about that topic.

This game is awesome I waited too much and thanks for DRM-free revolution .

My hopes are really high for it, I enjoyed AoW 1-2 much in the past days, and though I don't like some new designing and game mechanics (as I saw it from all preview materials), I wait for release day impatiently. And of course I preordered it.

I am glad the day has finally arrived. I placed my preorder today after waiting for so many years. Age of Wonders has given me more hours of fun that I can count and I am sure the third installment won't disappoint. Thank you Triumph and GOG.

Pre-ordering games from digital stores is something people should do more cautiously.

It makes marketing and hype much more important for sales than actual quality of game.

We are talking about Age of Wonders here. I did have my money ready the first time I heared that they are making a sequel. No need for marketing, I'll buy if I love the previous game.

Although I should already learn my painfull leason from Diablo.

Well... I'm a little concerned by the 6 playable races. No dark elves, no halflings, no frostlings, no azracs, no archon...
Those will probably come with DLCs or an expansion, but that would mean they're not in the main campaign, and I'm a campaign player (never was really interested in single scenarios or multiplayer for AOW)

I'm glad to see it here. Heck, I'm glad one of my favorite license has a shiny new sequel, and the videos I saw tell me it's probably good.
But I can wait till release day and a few reviews telling me the campaign mode is good before I buy it :)

I almost never preorder stuff, but I have really fond memories of Age of Wonders... This saga is one of my all time favorites.

This certainly looks like it could be a worth while game. I owned elemental enchantress on Stardock which was DRM free but when the expansion came out it was Steam exclusive so I kinda got burned.

This game looks like a remedy to my woes, hopefully I can play scenarios with the AI without the need for that CD KEY that comes with it. I'll hold on the Preorder though for that matter.

I had fun with the first game (even though it really has trouble at high-res it worked well on my netbook, one of few games to do so) but with the absence of LAN multiplayer in this third installment I won't be preordering it as online-only multiplayer is ridiculous in a LAN setting (sending my signals miles to ultimately go a few feet) and isn't all that functionally different from the Steam version :(

I have found that each sequel introduces more bloat to the scope and mechanics. At least it's tactical, high-fiber bloat. But it's still a bit much.

I mean, chess is several thousand times simpler, and it's not even a game that's been fully solved. I'd love to see things get closer to how they were in AoW1, but idk if I'm alone on that.

Anyway, I will probably pick up AoW3 on sale eventually. $20 would be the insta-buy mark for me. I just don't know when I'll be ready for that kind of commitment as a player...
