Hello,
I bought and installed Age Of Wonders 3, GOG version. I could install all the patches (3 patches) that came out. And now I cannot install the Golden Realms (see also posts several days before, says it cannot find the game), and I cannot find the new patch (2.2.2), only the full installer for the base game.
Does this mean, that I am supposed to uninstall my perfectly working game, download AGAIN 1.9 GB just to update the game before I can install and use the newly bought content???
Are you serious??
Do not tell me it is necessary to download 1.9GB just to install the patch. This would be worse than Microsofts 'service packs', which usually had half the size of the installation media.
And what is it with the accusation 'Cannot find the original GOG game' the Golden Realms installer throws???
The game is not only from GOG, it was installed correctly in a non standard folder (E:\Games\AOW3) and runs without any troubles. It also was patched with 3 patches (V 2.0.1.5, V 2.0.2.6 and V 2.0.3.7) downloaded from my account. Which are mysteriously gone now (i still have them since I always save such things). Game runs fine in version 2.0.3.7, which obviously is the version before last. So *why* does it say it is not here???
This is worse than Steam! Steam is (I do not use it personally, so this is from reports) known to download wildly and patch on my disks, which is one major reason I do not use it, and never will. But forcing the user, who was just silly enough to buy a DLC to reinstall the entire game, and worse - redownload all is unacceptable!
Is this what you mean with DRM free?
And for the future - do we have this sh..t to expect with every DLC which becomes available?
I am seriously p.... off.
