Hi guys,

First of all I would like to say hi to all of you as this is my first forum post. This is more of a informative post. So I don't know if you heard yet but PDXCON revealed a new Age of Wonders game.
The title is Age of Wonders Planetfall. So it's a AoW game set in a full SciFi setting. I'm sorry for not posting any links but as I don't have any reputation they would not show (as I recall from the forum rules). From what I've heard there was no gameplay shown only screen shots, so If you guys want to see I would like to redirect you to youtube and a video from Marbozir titled PDXCON 2018 Impressions. The shots beggin at 3:01. This is where I saw it so If you have any in depth info it would be nice.

Sorry if this is old news to you. To be quite honest I don't know how to feel about the setting. It's not something that I have in mind when I remember 1, 2 or SM. But it is a breath of freshness and a message that the franchise is not dead.

Actually, there's already a thread about it, but welcome anyway.

Personally I really liked the AoW1 setting. It wasn't original, but it was well-executed and well written.

I dislike the 3d, squad unit, civ5-esque look of the game, but it could still turn out well. And like you say it#s good to see the series continue.

Whoa I thought I did check to make sure. Must be too tired to think straight. I just hope it doesn't turn out like sid maiers beyond earth, which I was reminded of when I saw some units

You're probably not too tired at all as the thread is called "It fell on my head". Not the most obvious choice for a title.

Thank you for clarifying that. I scanned through looking for the title of the new entry so I guess that's why.
