I preordered AoW3, only to find out that the Linux version would be Steam-only. So I ended up pirating it and never using the copy that I had purchased from GoG. Now it looks like Planetfall won't have a Linux version at all? That's not better.

We'll see. If it runs well in WINE then maybe I'll buy it later on, I do really like the series and the pirated version of AoW3 is great. I'm still playing that.

I guess I'm just posting this to say: don't preorder. But I'm still hoping for the best.

Ah, the optimism of youth. I wish I could share it.. The fact that AoW3 is one of the better-behaved games on wine doesn't give me any hope for its sequel, either. Every single game is its own challenge.
