Carry On, Day 35

Bah, you stopped on the bridge. I was hoping you'd cross right into my waiting arms. Oh well, guess I'll settle for making a case for you going away.

Also, a question: Do units flying or swimming in the water next to a bridge join a fight on the bridge?

Yes, even boats (I think even boats)

Gabby, Day 35

I have neutral relations with Frostling race, my other frostling units have stable morale but one of my lonely frostling units deserted me for some reason last turn.

Turn sent.
Necking, Day 36

Oo-er. Bally Doom Bats.
Short people, Day 36

Not sure what the future brings. We're ordering deliver Chinese and ignoring the food; just opening the fortune cookies looking for omens.

Gabby, Day 36

We don't have much to offer but at least we have a lot of gold, so maybe we could use it to shower our enemies with it and humiliate them.

Use Coin Toss, in true Final Fantasy fashion.

Question: What units does the drain life ability not work on? Does it work on undead? Does it work on machines (ex. catapults)?
Necking, Day 37

We come under serious threat for the first time.

Halflings, Day 37

We move a day early and pay for it. Such is life.

You answered your own question. Machines and Undead have no life to drain.

Sigh. So undead really can stomp all over orcs pretty easily.
I've been panicking about those Doom Bats. I'd still been thinking in the normal mindset where they often lifesteal more than their max HP in a given fight. Well....
Fuck ups Galore, Day Whatever

Pro tip: Always turn on the damn grid before you do diddly squat. Eyeballed the position of two enemy stacks, and lost both my heroes and had my heavy cavalry seduced because I thought they weren't adjacent. Was going to snipe the two spiders before they could meet up with the rest. Not happening. Not only not happening, but donating items and units to my enemy in the process.
[This is a legit fuck-up on my part. Not asking for a restart even though it probably costs me any chance at winning]

Then I had a small force approaching a scout tower. Double clicked to send them straight to the tower, and they turned around and took off in the completely opposite direction to take who knows how many turns to walk around some massive f-ing loop instead of walking the 1.5 turn path down there. I checked, and there aren't even any f-ing obstacles blocking them from just walking forward. It is a 1 hex wide path underground, they can't even claim to have gotten lost.
[This is not a legit fuck-up on my part. I have no freaking clue what is wrong with the morons or their pathing. Still not asking for a restart because I'm sick of this crap.]

Just kill me. I don't want to play this **** anymore.

It's possible there is invisble unit blocking the way. Or spiderweb? AI pathfinding does anything to avoid even single web.

I've walked this corridor before. There are no webs, no blacked out terrain. I checked every single hex within 3 hexes of that tower just to see if maybe I can't see something that redirected my path, and it is only when I target the tower's actual hex that my guys wanted to run somewhere else.
