I really want to buy AoW here, but...Impulse has them all with soundtracks. Now.
Can't.Hold.Much.Longer. :(

Yeah, I'm having the same issue. I'll end up waiting for GoG to get it in independent (not dependent on Impulse at least) installs. Now that the trilogy is released on Impulse it would be nice to get a clear response from GoG if/when we can expect the same content here (soundtrack aside).
I just got the email from Impulse about ten minutes ago - It's late on a Friday night and I'm trying to drain wine out of a plastic cask so I'm not the best person to ask about this, but... I'm going to wait.

I like Impulse but Brad is an asshole, but the guys behind GOG are... oh, I saw the videos so the GOG guys are assholes as well. BUT, on impulse I'd have to wake up the client so I can authorize the game. But after that the game will launch without waking the launcher up.

Who gives me the best experience? Where can I get the game right now?

Well, Impulse has the games right now, but Gog gives me the best experience, although those monk assholes deserve to be kicked into orbit, but despite that, I say, DESPITE THAT,I'll stick with Gog.com.
I like your style coldtony, and yes I agree. (Brad, monks etc).
Whilst these DD retailers are busy draining the life out of their credibility and reputations I still have a gaming addiction to take care of.

I went for the GoG one in the end for much the same reasons, and I'll trust the good stuff will follow later.

coldtony: <snip>
That post got you one rep from me.
I fought the temptation and decided to go with the GOG.com release (and future releases).
I really hope that GOG.com don't have to slap a $9.99 on the next two installments :(

Fingers crossed they'll all be $5.99 ;)
I posted this elsewhere, but the soundtracks shouldn't influence your decision, since for the first game at least the songs are all there available to be played straight from the Songs directory in the game. You can even add songs to that directory to have a mix in the game if you want. They add goodies like that to make the game look like a more attractive buy, but they're often just ripped straight from the game, which most users in this case could easily do on their own.

Don't let the goodies influence your decision. Look up how good the Impulse service is, and make sure GOG's bundle offer of all three games isn't superior when it's finally released.

Doesn't GoG do the same? Goodies to look more attractive? If it is a negative thing that should be true for every provider not only the disliked ones.
Indeed the soundtrack are not that much a great plus, but the price and the service are.
And after the pr stunt GoG credibility is lower than ever, enough to make Brad halftime assholesness secondary.
To me the goodies aren't a negative, but they're often not a big deal. People should concentrate on the games themselves, I think. I've seen a lot of posts from people who get wowed by a few extra things, when they're not as important as the games themselves, and easily derived from them with a little snooping once the software is installed.

As far as the service, I'm not familiar with Impulse. If people feel their service is superior, then the choice should be pretty clear. I don't know anyone personally who uses Impulse; I was tempted to try it out when I thought GOG was disappearing, coincidentally. You try it yet?

I'm using both GoG, Impulse and even Steam. Each one of them has good and bad point, some of them could really improve (steam the most, the other need only a greater catalogue and a better infrastructure behind).
I usually use GoG when I think the game fits with its ideal, I use Impulse because it's a good alternative and less invasive than steam. I also use steam for discounted games.
Gog in its tiny reality was a good services. Being drm-free was indeed what made it famous and appreciated. But this alone could not be the main reason to purchase from them, other services try to do what they can. If they got a game first with good condition, it must be take in consideration. And in consideration must be taken the service owner behaviour and this time GoG really acted against itself with the pr stunt.
As said earlier.

Brad is an A Hole for thinking his game was da bomb before it was released. And i doubt its going to be easy to make a descent mod out of Elemental, as the core of the game is just stupid.

GOG guys.... retarded stunt with bad way of apologizing.

But at least no DRM

And luckily there was no DRM on the monks either.
