Nope, for AoW1 we play on the base game aka TS136

Maybe one day I will try to browbeat people into using a mod

Oh right, I forgot you haven't played PBEM before.
For sending and receiving files, you will have to either do it manually or install this, which I for one use:

The Wrapper can have some fiddly stuff needed to set it up, but I'm sure we can advise if you run into any issues. Also, it comes with an effective manual.

Battles between players are always automated because of course only one player is present, but vs indies you can choose.

At some point we promised to give feedback on a certain map based on the Valley of Wonders. Perhaps we should pick that? Anything else is also fine, of course.

Was it this one? It's twelve player, but some starts stand above the other, so could be played. Of course I'd rather play a map I made :p

Yeah, that run died when DaemonVirus went mia one of his times. I think he played his turn, but it got stuck on someone else before ever getting back to me again.

That said, I just looked at the map description and apparently there are a lot of empty crypts if you don't play a particular mod. Might be other problems too.
