Ke-nan, Day 1

Hm, Nomads. Could be worse.
We started exploration and spent all our money.
We wanted to cast Fire Mastery right away, but there are some hindrances to my plan. We'll try to fix it.

Turn sent.
Serena, Day 1 (turn before Ke-nan)

Mab, Day 1
Sorry for my lateness, busy Wednesday. I explored a magic vault.

Eh? I thought I'd read etiquette, but I don't recall any such thing. Though I don't know that Goblins have dominator's anyway.

"Do not use the Dominate/Disband cheat to gain extra experience."
Oh, that. See, I didn't recall it because it's a ridiculous thing to do.

"OR-6: Restrict the use of the Resurrection ability to your own units."
So, no use of the hero resurrect spell if I got it from spirit?

No, you can resurrect your own units, but not the enemy units.

It means that you can't resurrect enemy units to add them to your army.
You can do with your own whatever you want.

potato_head: No, you can resurrect your own units, but not the enemy units.
Here is an example:

You with resurrect ability attack another human player. During the battle, your hero resurrects one of the strong monsters belonging to the other player. Let's call it a Troll for example purposes. After the battle, the troll has it's full move available, so you use it to conquer things. That is cheating. You can't control the AI, but in this situation, you must disband the Troll immediately. You're free to scream obscenities at the AI for not resurrecting your own units that died, but that's part of games vagaries.

The reason for this is that resurrection of super strong enemy units is a relatively easy way to gain a huge advantage. Most of the super strong units have Willpower and high resistance. This makes it hard to dominate them. The resurrection skirts around this by letting you kill them just like normal and then add them to your forces in circumvention of their defenses.
And the use of hero resurrect spell if I was playing a life wizard? That would let you get somone else's hero.

It's not even that great a unit in AOW2

I'd say that is allowed, as it is not using the resurrect option in battle to gain said advantage.

However, if you have just killed the nicely levelled enemy hero, casting that spell could effectively do the same.... I am open for suggestions, but I would like to emphasize that using the spell that results in resurrecting one of your own dead heroes should not be followed by a disband.

It's what actually happened in one of our games. I had a troll which was killed and resurrected.

Resurrect Hero is expensive, takes a lot to research, and you won't get to use it on enemy heroes too often. I think it should be allowed.

WHOSE TURN IS IT
Dark Elves, Day 1

A superb start! Lost an Executioner to a lone archer. For nothing.
