My defending troops were not strong enough to hold the outpost but they were able to kill 2 of the 3 minotaurs. My remaining forces are moving to finish that one off.

Interesting! While trying to avoid some invading indies, I walked right over a "production resource node" a mere five hexes from my starting position. And I found a hidden income node upon further, careful examination. Wonder what other things I'm missing in this snowy wasteland?

I do try to utilize rules that SEEM to be in effect. And if they didn't pitch in, then I wasn't any worse off. Unless they joined my enemy. >:(

Doubled Undead, Day 7

Our rebuilt town has crop yield of 2 and spirit of war giving it another -5 gold. This is going to be real moneymaker.
Our strong scout is still wandering across empty wastes. What a good use for him.

So the dwarves and ballista in the tower declined to help out my dire boar against the orcs. Oooookay. Whatever.

I learned something new, though! It costs 32 move for a forestry unit to initiate an attack on a pair of orc heavy cavalry that are standing in dense vegetation!

Also, 3 zephyr birds >>> 3 dwarf crossbows. They won with only one casualty.

No minotaur skin coat for my warlord today but it is in sight. Tomorrow I should be able to retake my furnaces and kill the wandering minotaur.
