Really? They are? I don't have time to play the turn till this evening, but it looks like you're rolling me backwards all over the map. And the Goblins are doing the same. And Anon is picking up where the Undead are slacking. Hmm, a few too many enemies at once, me thinks.

Says the one who is using neutral city guards to kill other neutrals of the same alignment guarding the same city. I didn't realize (generic) you could even do that.

If I had realized that was possible, I would very likely have taken that city several dozen turns ago. I keep learning new things after they'd have been really useful. >=(

Be friendly enough with that race that they'll pitch in on your side in combat. Proceed to attack the wings of neutral guards, and watch the center stack annihilate their supposed support. Giggle as your single zombie emerges unscathed, and move on to the next two wings.

How much friendly does one have to be with them to make them turn on their families to fight for living dead?

Probably won't take as much effort as you might think, considering they jumped in and beat the snot out of one of my guys when I tried to remove Mimo's zombie from the area some time back.

I left him there solely to tempt you into attacking me. Was really hoping you'd bring a quality stack so all 12 of the area guards would chip in. :)

If you can buy their loyalty (the talk symbol), then they will join you in the battle. But you have to attack the perimeter unit of the same race first.

Dammit. You guys are learning too many of my tricks. Honestly, this one isn't too different than standing next to a tower or node guarded by indies of your alignment to gain their protection when an enemy attacks...

For one measly zombie that isn't really doing anything? No. If I brought a quality stack, it would have been to conquer the city out right. I've been bitten by not-so-neutral neutrals before.

It's not. This is getting half of the army to fight the other half. Not help against common enemy or something they fight each other. That's just stupid design, IMO. If it was to be possible. it should be only if someone really loves you. Say, it's your race, the particular unit is of the same race, you are peacekeeper and perhaps have some other bonus. Other way it's just ridiculous.
