We sent a force to conquer a town of elves - but seeing the nearby area guards, we decided to sit next to the town and hope its garrison would aid us overnight.

Fighting smarter, not harder. :)

Had a brief moment of "Aren't you two almost dead and already dead? And when did Southern go from Orcs to Elves?" Then I remembered this is the Armageddon thread, not the Nordic Star thread.

We tried to steal a town from artica but she had an archer concealed in the snows.

That's not very sporting. I wondered in what direction you were... Now I know.

Got lucky in a fight against area guards, as a small Indie force joined me. I lost my unit but the Area guards are gone now.

Bone Dragon is nog hovering over my city. Oops. No idea what I did to deserve this. Relieve column is on its way but a few turns out still....

Freaking Anon refuses peace. So be it!
