NovHak: Wait, when you say “each DLC”, you mean all DLC, that’s it, i.e. there won’t be (dozens) more later, reaching a grand total in the hundreds ? Hence no commercial ambiguity either, concerning what one has or doesn’t have, sometimes paying twice, thrice for the same content ? Let’s be fair indeed, that would be nice.
Each of the DLC's included in the Expansion Pass. Whether there will be more DLC further in the future depends on the performance of the Game. For now our immediate focus is making sure that the game we deliver next months is solid.
NovHak: In the end, AoW3 wasn’t split in a myriad of pieces, but knowing Paradox is behind, there was no confidence in that… however, considering that AoW4 is already announced with four DLCs before being released, not even mentioning the pre-order content and the archmage attire, there’s matter for concern.
Planetfall was also developed, partly, under Paradox. For Planetfall we wanted to tell a story across the 3 DLC's and that's what we did. There we also had several Sign Up, Pre-Order and Deluxe bonusses. The approach to DLC is decided for each project individually.
NovHak: Besides, you say it’s at least fair to tell what can be expected, but apart from the number of DLCs, their names, and (roughly estimated I guess) dates of release, nothing is mentioned, and those are just marketing artifacts.
