greyhuntr: Very interesting about Groshak. SPOILER ALERT: I was able to charm Bormac into fighting for me at the end of the scenario, but he just vanished with the items I gave him between missions. I kind of expected that to happen, but it was a fun experiment to try. I was excited to see he made a return from earlier games, but I thought his appearance would have been more elaborate.
torusflux: I just received the quest from merlin to find bormac in a "dungeon" somewhere. Is he in the blocked off lava area in the lower left that is only accessible from a teleporter (that i have no idea how to access yet)? Why did you have to charm him? If hes in a dungeon then why was he at the "end of the scenario"? My guess is that its a part of the story and he turned evil or something...either that or he fights with you for the final battle. Good to know that charming him doesnt mean you can bring him to the next campaign level.
SPOILERS: I chose the evil path with Groshak, so I never actually got a formal quest to free Bormac. He is in a dungeon right next to that final teleporter. When I freed him I was given the choice to murder him or let him go. When I let him go he appeared as an independent unit on the world map, so I attacked and charmed him so he would fight in my army. I never saw him again after that mission. Perhaps if you side with Nomlick things go differently.
