So I just got to level 4. I see my ragnak is back. I had deemed him already gone actually. I had stolen his wyvern for the previous level and I expected the goblin theocrat to leave as well. So is it to my understanding that I have to choose to ally myself with the pirate lady or contact the elves and murder her and anything/anyone that stands in my way?

I think I accidentially read some spoilers, well not that big of spoilers, that one of your hero units leave your side if you choose one or the other? Personally I would rather keep my theocrat as I got him to level 20. The sorcerer dude is not really much to my liking anyway. But if he leaves, I want to equip his gear before he makes a run for it. I just would like to know this stuff before I make any decisions.

Just let me know. =)
Whichever one leaves will drop their items for you
Actually that's not true: Nomlik, being a kind soul and understanding that you allowed him to equip his items, will drop his items.
Groshak, being a brutal orc, just keeps them: he's earned them, no?

Also.. Best to save before you decide and play both branches ^^ :D

I never liked Groshak to begin with. :P
Very interesting about Groshak. SPOILER ALERT: I was able to charm Bormac into fighting for me at the end of the scenario, but he just vanished with the items I gave him between missions. I kind of expected that to happen, but it was a fun experiment to try. I was excited to see he made a return from earlier games, but I thought his appearance would have been more elaborate.
I can't belive..that you believed that even humans carry somthing good at(or is it in?) their souls :)

Just decied to burn them all 5min ago..and talking about items...i found one good Item unil now and got two via storyline...i cleared every cave..only to found out...that most of them had been stables for horses or unicorns :)

I think I have a ranch of 20 unicorns. :)
By the way you can save, then auto combat, look at the loot. If it's another unicorn, load, do a tactical combat, check again. Change the way you fight tactical combat, have different units fighting the treasure site and different loot might/will appear. When I choose to be a good person, that Groshak guy just vanishes in thin air. I don't even see him.

Wtf is with all of the unicorns? And level 2 had a bunch of different items in the dungeons, while 3 has nothing but unicorns for me pretty much. What a waste of time! They sell for what,150 gold or something?

Mythic on hard difficulty was not very challenging to me either with a decent group. I hope future patches improve AI.

Just wanted to let you people know we're working on the unicorns being too prolific ^^.

Thanks.

the unicorns were disappointing, but another issue is that we seem to be getting too many tools to demolish the AI in a swift manner. Are the first few levels of the campaign designed to be easier?

I also noticed that not all of the locations with enemies that list their contents as "resources, knowledge, items" or whatever else, has what it claims to have. It half defeats the purpose of scouting for sites worth spending move-points on. : /

Yes they are supposed to be easier.
Yes we've noticed it too, it's on the list to check them all, but I think it's only 2 structures (off the top of my head) where this is misrepresented.

Thanks a bunch for the passion and hard work on this game! Im so glad i found AoW 5 years or so ago, and i wish i had sooner! This game is truly turning out to be one hell of a sequel. Im very much looking forward to its future. Any expansion pack will have my pre-order ASAP.

Time to push to level 4 today! Im just about ready to rush the remaining faction in elf level 3.

Narvek:
Any word if there will be any future patches? I adore the game, but got to a super huge level in the campaign and keep getting frequentish (every few hours) crashes that corrupt save files.
Either that, or any tips to tweak the game so it tolerates larger maps?

Thanks!

It's not only the unicorns, it seems that basic mounts and basic weapons make at least 75% of the rewards, it took me the first 4 missions to get a single armor and at the 5. mission i got my first headgear.

Aside from this...what about the rewardspells..at most cases they're useless the moment i got them and then i loose him after finishing the mission. Maybe there should be some way to carry them over.

Oh I have 1 piece of armor in lvl 3, a few pieces of head gear a couple of rings and all that, but barely any weapons. Shit loads of mounts though. I mean a unicorn is a great mount, until you have a whole stable.
