southern: Day 7, Dwarves

In only two or three days, we will turn up at a mine with two boars, a boar rider, a runemaster, The Wizard himself, an axeman, a beserker, and our heroic Archon ally. I can't wait!
Your force is doomed. The peasants guarding the mine are like unto Ancient Greek heroes.

On the bright side, wait a few years and they'll all self destruct in horrendous fashions.

Day 7, Tigrans

All of us are doomed. I actually attacked a tower today to try and kill off my units and start saving money. Buggers surrendered. I didn't even get any XP for the one or two folks I expected to survive. (Yes, I could have not accepted the surrender, but it's a free tower, so what the heck. Odd decision to surrender with six shooters behind stone walls.)

Nomaden, Tag 7

We were spirited away too this turned.
Apparently it takes 2 attacks from DMG 10 unit to send our precious leader back to void.
I shall take it as lesson.

Runde geschickt.
Head's up: Will have a restart on my turn. Playing the next turn on my desktop...

Mya, Day 8

A stack of archers decided that I shouldn't be wandering about near them and sent me to the void. Time to try another direction.

Turn sent.
Dwarves Day 8

High time for the dwarves to have a mine, anyway. It's unseemly not to have one.

Tigrans, Day 8

Nothing to report. We walked through the dessert per usual. Not quite Anza Borrego bad, but it's pretty bad. (Btw, that is a legit reference to some seriously horrendous dessert walking I did a long time ago. See attached for the definition of inhospitable terrain.)

We are back and ready to... die again.

Turn sent.
Mya, day 9

I had to turn back from exploring today as my capitol had been captured by some wandering independents. Luckily they had left and I was able to walk back in without a fight.

Turn sent.
Day 9, Dwarves

We captured two mines and the building resources for Wizard Tower mark 2. We lost two boars and a Beserker, which is pleasantly low since the enemy were mostly crossbowmen and engineers whose weapons could work even against our highly Runemaster.

We noticed that there is a completely random Icedrake running around, so we didn't use our Wizard as a suicidal frontliner. No Vitek Gaming for us today, lightning altar or no.

Hopefully this pesky creature will attack our tower and die to our newest boar rider + the Tower Pilzuver that shoots magic bolts.

In a while this new money influx will allow us fund a force to capture our second town and tower. five turns maybe.

Tigrans, Day 9

Glorious battle. Lost two, gained one. XP for everyone, but especially for my alter ego, Bad Ass the Hero.

Nomaden, Tag 9

Apparently those wandering independents proved stronger than was anticipated as Mya has been defeated.
We on the other hand finally made some progress.

Turn sent.
Mya, Day 10

I was defeated by 3 larvae attacking my town. A rather fitting end for how things have gone for me in this one.

Turn sent.
Oh dear. Did I pick badly? Perhaps I shouldn't have gone for a Groll-made map.
Day 9, Dwarves

The icedrake captured our Tower, so now our five half health units go back to recapture it. We killed a wandering wooly mammoth on the way, lest it make common cause with the Icedrake.

Tigrans, Day 10

Two great things, one not great thing.

1) We leveled our unicorn up to gold medal. Finally! A mobile healer.

2) We found the ruins of a great city. Now if we only had more than 300 people in our base town, we could afford a pioneer to rebuild the great city.

3) Not great - A human opponent has perished and we do not know where their undefended tower stands. How can we double our empire without this knowledge?!? Our scouts have let us down. They did find a booming metropolis of towns and cities for us, but they are all much too well defended to mess with for months.
