I played a turn last night.

High Men

We advanced on the Western shores, liberating cities from those dastardly Dark Elves.

TS
Day 58, Dark Elves

Our legions have reached striking distance of the Frostling's great city, where they train their Ice Drakes. The Frostling elite cannot return in time.

The Highmen have conquered everything we once took from the Frostlings and much more besides, but the garrison that fled from the Frostling elite, combined with Demons, may be enough to stop that advance.
Orcs, Day 58

We occupy ourselves with wandering marauders for a while. My lord and hero would give much for life stealing.

TS
TS
High Men, Day 59

We see a small horde of archers rapidly approaching our new Azrac city, and the siege engine is too well guarded to suicide strike it. Not good.

TS
Dark Elves, Day 59

We have the great City of Ice!

In light of this, I cannot even be bothered to worry about the losses soon to be inflicted on me elsewhere by the Highmen.
Orcs, Day 59

I've cut the head off the Azrac Hydra, but I feel like there are a gazaillion more streaming forth to bite me now. In case anyone was wondering, Level 2 Azrac Riders hit really hard.

That's what you get for colluding with the azracs! :P

Ah. I'd been wondering who lopped his head off.

Since no one claimed credit, I figured either the Undead got him or else he wandered into a dungeon and was foolish.

Actually, Mimo hinted at it a few turns ago.

Ah, I see it now. I hadn't picked up on that the first time around.

Normally most folks say I'm as subtle as a boulder rolling down hill. As clever as one too!

I honestly thought my attack on the Level 12 Azrac leader and his troops would be a suicide mission. But wow, the AI is sure stupid sometimes. What the hell is the point of Spell Casting IV if you're just gonna sit there and not cast anything?

Still not sure why I'm alive. Probably the same reason the Dwarves are alive. We're tucked away and not bothering anyone very much. :)
High Men, Day 60

After a lot of thought and worry, some large scale attacks were successfully made.

We wiped out 52 dark elf units at the cost of some 13 of our own. Shame the dark elves have many times the reserves that we do.

We Orcs just sit here very, very slack jawed. It's not a good look as the drool is starting to accumulate in a puddle at our feet, but we can't help it. 52 dead dark elves. Wow.

If you want that badly to eat the bodies, we'll ship them to you. We certainly don't have any use for them.

Bunch of humans, lizards, and frostmen were mixed in too. Unfortunately, that's something like 200 gold in upkeep that our adversary is no longer paying.
